Re: [iPhone] iPhone OS 2.2

Hmm, the whole pricing thing was very confusing to me, but if thats the case and they didnt have to spend FULL retail price (something like over $500) then thats okay. I was only aware of the price I paid as a new AT&T customer and I had heard about other people not being eligible to upgrade and got stuck paying a lot more.

As for the other remarks. This discussion will not turn into a pointless tantrum. This is to discuss new features that may come up with the new firmware. Yes I do purchase computers and other electronic gadgets...Sony claims they're video game consoles have 10 year life cycles, Apples computers are supposed to last a long time as well. I used to be a PC gamer, I bought a new video card AT LEAST once a year, on top of lots and lots of other computer parts, I know what its like.

Anyway.

That Ars Technica article is pretty recent and the beta for 2.2 was just seeded a week or two ago. I've heard people say the new update is expected to be released by the end of this month! Maybe this one will include Push services? To me it seems like a lot of these features were in place but Apple pulled the plug last minute to try and resolve all the other "issues" people were having. So for them to cook up 2.2 and have it released in a month doesn't seem so far fetched.
