Pipe Providers

Don't forget the pipe providers (TWC,AT&T,Comcast,Verizon,Cablevision, etc) are all going to go completely bananas just like with voip, itunes, anything that they feel is going down the pipes they own. Apple will never get this off the ground. I just can't see TWC letting me watch for free tv on my computer when they sell cable tv.

Bill-by-byte would solve any issues for TWC and other cable companies.

And you know this how? Please explain how bill by the byte will solve the problems of channels like ESPN raising their rates every year? How will bill by the byte solve the increasing costs of content across the board?

No proper net neutrality would solve this. But we have a better chance of Tinker Bell waving a magic wand on the stock market now.
