pacman99 : it's weird because just a few months ago I called rogers about adding my cellphone to the better choice bundles plan. I only had cable tv and internet with them prior to bundling. They had no trouble adding my cellphone service onto my grandfathered 15% plan and renewing it for a year(this was retentions though). I even confirmed on my bill that it was, indeed, 15% off. I guess customers that go through retentions follow different rules or something.

Exidor : I have had the 15% "Better Choice Bundle" discount on only two services (TV & internet) since at least June/05 (as far back as I have saved bills). Rogers has not yet notified me of stopping it either. :hmm:

I get the impression from The Star article that if you call in, and "commit" to another two years, you will be "grandfathered" on the discount. That's just speculation on my part of course but if/when I get a notice I plan to make the call with that expectation.

anon : I've about had 'nuff of these goons! If mine changes I'm off their cable TV for good! Have to stay on their internet as here in the sticks there's no alternative but at least I'll have the satisfaction of giving Teddy-Bob the finger on at least one of his services! (Did it once before a few years back, went to Bell Express Vu, but ended up switching back, was a case of the "devil you know vs. the devil you don't". However, if I leave this time it will be for good! There are other alternatives out there now that weren't around last time I dumped Rogers.) And in another three years I won't need the internet either, so at that time I'll get the privilege of giving it the heave-ho! (Maybe by then there'll be another alternative to this bandit!)
