You can pm me if you want. I was thinking of giving up cable and getting directv but if they have a new $30.00 (including limited basic) tier that you can get without have to have expanded basic or higher tier. I would be interested in that. Will you need a set top box for this? |

 | I think it's called New Digital Economy $40 + other fees first box free. Likely first year only price
but the line up sucks. Comcast should of done it all main channels - sports.
DIRECTV CHOICE XTRA is $34 first year first box free each one after that is $5 /m. You get NFL, BIG TEN, GOLF, VS, and more with that.
PM your e-mail so I can give you a DIRECTV referral. |

Only things missing for the most part are movie channels, PVP, and sports. It is also 29.95 or something like that if bundled with comcast hsi and or phone it seems according to the thread I read about it here on DSLReports. |

 | does it have
SCI FI
truTV
GSN
TNT
TBS
A&E

 | It will very by market area.
Here is the packages, that I think will comcast will have after 3 years.
digital bare bones digital economy digital classic Digital preferred Then other packages.
I think they are doing this to compete with directv family plan. Disney may not be included because they always want EPSN1, & ESPN2 to be available unless Comcast can get a new agreement. Not everybody watches sports.
Direct tv will need to keep the price the same, and the channels the same and add a few channels to their family package. Like Sci-fi, Oxygen, USA and travel channel.
I talked to a comcast rep, they do not have any idea when it will be available, they said it would allow for video on demand and maybe some pay per view.
They need to hurry up, I am seeing more directv install coming to my town. Every day I see that directv van. Today(10/14) I saw two vans. |
