| Neeeed Help changing ma Nat [ASAPP]
Okayy im not a pro at none of this but i know some stuff im talking bout i have AT&T DSL maa router is a motorola Style:MSTATEA okayyy i beeen havingg probleems with this since i've got it.. alright im a PSN player.. i have a PS3 i just tested ma connection it says i have a NAT 3.. its saying my router in use may not support the IP Fragments.. ha ok.. so i look threw forms to see other people having the same problems sooo i found this dude »[Modem] nat type on Motorola MSTATEA Modem some how he was having the same problem so i fix mines like hisss "i didnt use IP address or nothingg.. so im not that effing stupid.." so theenn i plug it back up.. now ma PS3 is saying cannot connect DNS Communication Error.. so im like what the eff.. sh*t [sorry] they told him to change IP to pubic or some shitt i was like wtf... so im confuseddd helppppp mee please!!!!

join:2008-10-13 Austin, TX | reply to JayKeYz look this what happens the internet connection passes and the PSN (playsatation network passes) then it skips the 3rd one then one the nat it says nat 3 which i need a nat 1 or 2 to play certain games like grand theft auto 4 for example.. |

| you need nat 2 for proper voice support
* update your router firmware if it is out of date
get nat type 2 one of these ways: * enable upnp on your router (it may not support it properly) * put the PS3 IP address in as the "DMZ Host" - to do this you have to statically allocate an IP address to the PS3 that is not in the range the router is going to give other devices. For example if it gives your PS3 10.0.0.104 then statically allocate it 10.0.0.2. Everything on the PS3 is 'automatic' except for IP which is custom. * set your DSL/router to bridge mode and get a better router eg a netgear, and enable upnp on it. |
