Re: Let's keep all DOCSIS 3.0 Discussion in this thread, please New England customers..take it for what it's worth...And call me a skeptic myself until I see the proof in a speed test..but I was told today by a source I consider reliable that New England customers on the Standard 42.95/mo. tier will be seeing their speeds increased....And flat out doubled in fact...to 12,000/2000 as part of the docsis 3.0 upgrades currently in testing around New England.
And furthermore, the 22,000 / 5000 tier will reportedly be priced at only 62.95/mo.
Hopefully it turns out to be the case. |

One would think that the 22/5 would replace the 16/2 on the business account if the 22/5 would be 62.95/mo for the residental.... that would be nice if this was true. I could def use a 22/5, the 5 up would be really welcome.
I guess I will have to wait till about 2010, as CO is pretty low on the upgrade list due to Qwest being the tel company. On the otherhand, 2 weeks ago I did get upgraded from QAM16 to QAM64, as did all of the Comcast connections I have tested around the metro area. |

The 22/5 will be 62.95 The 50/10 will be 139.95 For me $62.95 for 22/5 service sounds very reasonable. How bout it dadio? Guess some of us gotta wait for the DOCSIS rollouts to occur. |

Seeing if I can work in another $10 - and the cost of a new modem... 5mbps upload would be a blessing! -- Think outside the Fox... Opera |

 | Yeah, I'm right outside Boston, I dont know if that counts as "northern" new england, but will post if I get any speed increases! I currently have the 8/2 plan. |

 | reply to plat2on1 NNE = Ma, Nh, VT, CT (Three Rivers?) (ME?)
for the new speed tiers (both 22 "ULTRA" and the 50 "EXTREME") it is a separate modem from the EMTA. |
