Good first effort

But it has a way to go. The problem with Blu-Ray is the media is a total rip, rentals being the only viable way of getting Blu-Ray content. But when you're looking at the rip-off prices of DBS 1080P rentals you're better off with Blockbuster or Netflix, despite Netflix's recent addition of a $1.00 "how dare you want Blu-Ray discs" penalty. Blu-Ray still handily wins (unless you don't have a player of course, which are still pricy themselves).

1080p, near blue ray quality..

It would be interesting to see what Verizon's comments on this would be, are they going to match or exceed the quality and offering?

considering that 99.9999% of the population wouldnt be able to tell the difference in a double blind test....i wouldnt do anything except continue to build out the HD VOD and HD channel offerings...
