Speedstream modem needs to be reset

I have a Speedstream 5260 modem that lost communication when our ISP temporarily shut down service, and apparently needs to be reset. I was told to find a pinhole to reset the modem, but I have searched and I don't think one exists. Is there another way to reset? Thank you!

Both my Speedstreams don't have a reset switch. I just power them down/up or reset through the web interface.

Ok its a 5260
Here's a image of the bottom of a 5260 notice that there is a part number

OK. Our part number is the same, 060-5262-006.

Ok, that was my fault asking for a model number when I should have been asking for the part number
The speedstream 5262 does not have a reset button and it also does not have a web interface.

The front panel lights should steady green or flashing green if that's true the modem is ready foe use.

No problem. The lights are all steady green. The best our ISP techs have said is that modem needs to be reset. Turning it off, waiting, and turning it on again hasn't helped either. I think our solution may be a new modem.

Is there a way to log into it using the lan side ip address?

My ISP was Earthlink. They shut off the service temporarily, then couldn't adequately explain how to reset the modem to reconnect. Don't know about the client, have no idea how to use the lan side ip address.

Do you have a username/password that is used to connect the dsl?

The modem does not have a lan IP or user interface
I doubt that the modem is bad if it was the front panel lights would show that
Here is a key for the front panel lights

To confirm we're talking about the same modem, here's a image of a speedstream 5262

Ok so you have no idea if your dsl uses PPPoE or DHCP

Well, you need to know if they want you to just reboot or reset to default. If you need to reboot of course you just power on/off.

I have a 5660 so it is different from a 5260. On the 5660, there is no reset button. You login to the modem via the lan side ip address and you reset to default via the GUI. Or you can login via the console cable and reset.

If your modem has all the 4 light green, it means that the lan side is good and the WAN side is also good which means that the modem is able to sync up and traffic should pass between you and your isp.

If there is no traffic, you need to verify the configured VPI/VCI on your side. Maybe you cannot verify that on your 5260. The only other part that you do not control is on the ISP side and they need to verify that there is a VC that was created for you.
