When I ran the test on »test.lvcm.com it mentions in the bottom corner of the graphics that kbps = 1000 bps and mbps = 1000000 bps.

even if the servers here call a kilobit 1024 bits, the difference between 1024 and 1000 bits is 96kbps. nowhere near the difference im seeing on dslr vs other servers like speedtest.net and lvcm.com
