So...

If I had Verizon service, and got crappy reception at home, you are telling me Verizon would bring a rolling cell tower to my home to better my reception?

Bullshit....

time to use their words against them.

Who on here has shitty cell service in their area that uses VZW?

Of course not. I don't get any VZW service and nearly no AT&T service at my office which is 2 blocks away from interstate 5, in the commercial center of Tustin, CA. If they have no interest in service over 1000 commercial and residential accounts (about how many I estimate work and live in this dead zone), they don't give a shit about one normal person (you).

I agree, bullshit.

I feel like calling up and demanding my own tower right now too, considering I (daily) experience lost/dropped texts, occasionally upwards of an hour for text delivery, and the frustrations that come with that.

Why couldn't they give her a femtocell? Do they also not have internet? Crazy!

Walnut and Franklin. No service VZW, barely any AT&T. You might get one bar out side or a few if you're on the roof. T-Mobile is fine though, so I can't really test the exact size of the dead zone with mine, but I've heard the whole area has problems.

The article said they'd give you a tower, and I'm sure they would...but at cost.

They're over the caps, so the femtocell wouldn't help due to the throttling etc

Walnut and Franklin.
That's over by the Level(3) facility, and I get fine VZW service over there.

Known trouble area

I live in an "known trouble area" and called Verizon tech service to ask about tower locations to help me point my outdoor antenna.

After some phone tag, I found myself talking with someone that was trying to get me, to let them, install a tower on my property.

This is near some moderate population areas and a town. And everyones cell service is spotty at best, dropping out near where I live in this "dead spot".

Well, I didn't want that thing on my property, end of story.

Edit: I live in a ...

Re: So...

It took years to get ATT and verizon to add new towers to allow 40k purdue students to get decent reception. On att in 2003 you would either roam to a competitors tower or get an att cell tower 40 miles away.

Hmm...you could have made some very nice money on that tower!

They pay you monthly to have the tower on your property.

Re: So...

I'm one amongst many in Anderson Sc. A few years back service and most importantly reception was topnotch. But that changed two years ago it was like someone filpped a switch. And I'm not the only one experiencing it.

I'm on the other side of Walnut from L3, a few buildings east of the train tracks. The towers seem to all be over on the Market Place side of the freeway, I guess the signal doesn't fare will with all the large buildings around here. T-Mobile must have a tower nearer to here cause I get nearly full bars.
