Carnation, WA Verizon says they "have no plans for a tower in our area" - so suck it up and pay us anyway. |

A family I know had a company (I think it was at&t) that put a cell tower on their property, at&t paid them like $700/month for it. |

| reply to Steve I'm on the other side of Walnut from L3, a few buildings east of the train tracks. The towers seem to all be over on the Market Place side of the freeway, I guess the signal doesn't fare will with all the large buildings around here. T-Mobile must have a tower nearer to here cause I get nearly full bars. |

They pay you monthly to have the tower on your property. |

After some phone tag, I found myself talking with someone that was trying to get me, to let them, install a tower on my property. This is near some moderate population areas and a town. And everyones cell service is spotty at best, dropping out near where I live in this "dead spot". Well, I didn't want that thing on my property, end of story. Hmm...you could have made some very nice money on that tower! |

It took years to get ATT and verizon to add new towers to allow 40k purdue students to get decent reception. On att in 2003 you would either roam to a competitors tower or get an att cell tower 40 miles away. |

| reply to tad2020 said by tad2020 :Of course not. I don't get any VZW service and nearly no AT&T service at my office which is 2 blocks away from interstate 5, in the commercial center of Tustin, CA. If they have no interest in service over 1000 commercial and residential accounts (about how many I estimate work and live in this dead zone), they don't give a shit about one normal person (you). The article said they'd give you a tower, and I'm sure they would...but at cost. |

| reply to bjl Walnut and Franklin. No service VZW, barely any AT&T. You might get one bar out side or a few if you're on the roof. T-Mobile is fine though, so I can't really test the exact size of the dead zone with mine, but I've heard the whole area has problems. |

I feel like calling up and demanding my own tower right now too, considering I (daily) experience lost/dropped texts, occasionally upwards of an hour for text delivery, and the frustrations that come with that.
