I think FTTH is not in the near future for AT&T, because of their DSLAM design utilizing the existing Copper. So for the Present, AT&T can only roll out U-Verse as fast as possible. They have already max'ed out their Bandwidth, but don't count on Pair Bonding, AT&T will only use it under special circumstances and it will cost more.
