Multimode RF Transmitter question

Can anyone tell me if there is any such thing as a Multimode RF transmitter/receiver?
Our RF Plant goes by a customer who has plowed in 1km of multimode fibre to his business, we need to get him service somehow. It needs to do both RF and Data.

You could always get a Ethernet to Fiber tranciever and attach an access point to it.

I don't get it... You want to feed this customer with the full RF band sent to nodes but using a multimode fiber?

WOW.... that's nuts.. you would need a conditioning cable to bring up that fiber and I would NOT use that PoJ device. I would actually recommend purchasing 2 switches, one on each end for troubleshooting the fiber as that PoJ won't do anything other than cause you pain in the Eye, ear, and Arse!

BlackBox has tons of different devices to put RS232 etc etc over fiber. A regular transiever shown by DaMaGeINC is good for the data, but you said 'RF'.. We might need more info about this "RF". Describe it as it relates to the OSI model...?

I could build a low cost unit from near DC-1Gig pretty easily if the RF specs are not too stringent.

I doubt you will find a commercial one.
Please send an email if interested.

Yup as in the Marconi Deep Fiber platform which ran analog CATV over fiber to the ONU's.

RF over fiber does not use the OSI or layered model.

While it is well out of production you might want to do some research into the Marconi Deep Fiber platform aka. IFITL as that would work for your application.

I also believe Alcatel has a product that will work as well.

Might even be able to find some on the surplus market dirt cheap.

In that case it sounds like the solution is just a modulation system like Wayne mentioned, as long as it will carry all the frequencies you need. I don't think data is a concern as it's just another freq on the coax, right?
