Here Dry loop is more than the POS POTS only because DSL starts at $10 per month and you can have a phone line for about $6.75 before "taxes and fees" but are still paying $50+ for a shitting 2Wire or Mot DSL modem when you can have a better one had at BestBuy for the same price and never have to worry about the telco having remote access to it.
