I am seeing this with att (bellsouth) 3.0 dsl here in South Carolina. Is there a fix for this? Anything I can ask the provider to check? It drives me nuts to see less than 1.0M on the wireless side when the ethernet connections are pulling speeds of 2800+...
TIA
Mitch

If the slowdown is only on wireless connections, then your problem is with the local wireless and not with your DSL line.
It's hard to tell what causes the problem, but wireless interference is one possibility. That could be caused by a cordless telephone or other equipment.
You might want to try changing the WiFi channel. Sometimes that can help dealing with interference. -- AT&T dsl; Westell 327w modem/router; openSuSE 11.0; firefox 3.0.3 |
