Price the same but faster & faster over the years

Sounds good to me. Comcast keeps upgrading my speeds and I am still paying the same for internet access as I did 6 yrs ago.

And with Powerboost transient speeds will be even higher for short periods of time.

Not much point to paying 10 bucks extra for 16/2 over 12/2, though. I'll look forward to downgrading.

Ya, the difference between the two is surprisingly small.

I agree. No advantage at all in paying extra for that very small speed advantage. Especially when Powerboost will make the difference almost invisible except during very large downloads.

Agreed! All I really wanted was the added upstream speed way back when it was 4/384.
Now that it is 16/2, I may back off for a while to the 12/2 myself.

We shall see...

I also agree. I'll either move to 12/2 or 22/5 when it's offered in my area.

Yep, I remember back then when I signed up for 1.5 and I slowly got up to 6Mbps. Now it will be 12.

put me in that same boat. I will be downgrading if that is what they think is worth the extra 10.

And its a well known fact that VIDEO subs subsidize HSI.

yeah. even that 12mbps download will go largely unused. thumbs up to comcast for throwing its subs a bone WITHOUT a rate hike.

It is? Any proof of that? Any internal cost accounting docs you have access to?

Theres a reason why theres a $17 no video penalty. $60 is about what it costs to offer the service at that level.
As pro corp as you are, you already know this.

TWC did that as well for their tiers so expect it to be that way. That's like saying you'll be paying 30 dollars a month for dial up now, with times tech get's cheaper so expect lower costs for older tech. That should be expected, not praised.
