| [FL] Huge speed increase??? I'm registering a mammoth download speed increase tonight, I'm pulling 24-25Mbps on everything. No change in upload speed though. Is this a fluke? Anybody else in Gainesville/Ocala seeing this?

Not really, Dude. Here's mine is:
Download Speed: 33705 kbps (4213.1 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 3480 kbps (435 KB/sec transfer rate)
This been running a speed test in early morning.

Upload Speed: 3556 kbps (444.5 KB/sec transfer rate)
But I wasn't going to say anything because I figured it was a mistake and I wanted it to last for as long as possible  But ow that Bill has spilled the beans I guess someone will fix it shortly Nice going Bill (j/k) |

Looks like my Arris E-MTA was rebooted by Cox about 8 hours ago, I'm now seeing 3-5Mbps uploads to match the 25Mbps downloads. This is mind boggling.

I'm not trying to bash you, but you seem to do nothing but complain on here. Before Powerboost, you'd always complain about not having OOL speeds... now that we have speeds that exceed them, you complain about FIOS. Can't you ever be happy? I personally think Cox is doing an excellent job and am very happy with their internet service.
I wouldn't complain so much if I were you... someday Cox may be taken over by Comcast and BOY, you think you have something to complain about now... just wait until then! |
