dahlonega internet?

Anyone here from Dahlonega? I'm trying to track down dialup service for my parents who have a cabin up that way. They also have a place in florida and dont need broadband.

here's the challenge ive been having. i cant seem to find a dialup provider with local numbers for them in both places. In fact, i cant seem to find a dialup provider for them up ther at all. even the omnipresent AOL doesnt list an access number for them.

a little techy info:

ga number prefix is (706) 864
fla number prefix is (321) 768

can anyone help me find them service? im going nuts

I use Budget Dialup as a backup to my DSL. It works well and is cheap.

They show 706 and 321 access numbers.

Your parents telco plan may include an Intra LATA charge type option, or already be part of their telephone service package for situations like this. I'm not sure if Bellsouth/ATT is the LEC up there, but you may want to double check w/ their dial tone provider and see if that may be an option.

I checked People PC and didn't see any reference to 706 864, but doesn't mean the next CO over wouln't be local access anyway.

Just my 2c.

If you are using AT&T, I believe it comes with a backup dialup account anyway.

I don't use AT&T. Have been using Atlantic Nexus. They offer dialup for an extra charge.
