| reply to Rhaps said by Rhaps :I had once a luggage problem with Air France. The handle was broken and since it couldn't be repaired they offered to replace the luggage. They gave me a store to go to in the city where I lived and I was able to choose a replacement suitcase that was worth double my original one. If you have the flight ticket, boarding pass and luggage tag, you shouldn't have any problem. Well I don't have any of that and I threw the luggages out so what I'm doing is trying to get a letter from air france that they won't do anything and I can take it up with expedia and try there. |

| reply to LaZZZy_bOi The airfrance.com website is hopeless. The airfrance.us website isn't much better.
Is there a number listed on your ticket envelope for the closest AirFrance airport location?
Try calling them and having the forms faxed or delivered to you if they can't get this info submitted online.
Sorry I couldn't help more. Their website[s] are a mess.

| reply to LaZZZy_bOi Taken from the AF site: Damaged Baggage
If you find that your baggage is damaged upon arrival in USA:
Report this immediately to the Air France Baggage Service at the airport where you land. A Damage Property Report (DPR) will be created and a file number given to you.
Once this report has been drawn up, contact the Baggage Service Department at the following address:
Air France Baggage Service P.O. Box 459000 Sunrise, FL 33345-9000 Fax: (954) 835-2322
- If your baggage is damaged upon arrival in a country other than USA Report this immediately to the Air France Baggage Service Department at the airport where you land. A Damage Property Report (DPR) will be created and a file number given to you. The local Baggage Service will explain the procedure to follow in order to carry out any repairs.
- If you discover that your baggage is damaged once you have left the airport
Submit a claim within 7 days of the date you received your baggage, attaching the originals of the following documents: - ticket receipt, - boarding passes - baggage label(s) - the Damage Property Report (DPR) created at the destination airport, - expenditure documents.
Send this claim to the Air France Baggage Service at: Air France Baggage Service P.O. Box 459000 Sunrise, FL 33345-9000 Fax: (954) 835-2322 -- "If at first the idea is not absurd, then there is no hope for it" Albert Einstein. |

| I been encouraged by a member to post here...I'm using IE7 on WinXP Pro and I have to get to www.airfrance.com/us to get some claim forms and I just can't connect to the site. Air France says it works. So what's up? Can anyone check this out for me? Or is it something I'm doing wrong? I run Zone Alarm and Popupcop and had them turned off and then I tried Firefox and still can't get on there. |
