People are running around with L80 talent abilities right now. Blizzard changed the entire way that gear is itemized and spell damage/healing is handled. The spell coefficients have all changed. Wow pre 3.0 is NOT the game it was. I keep seeing Rets making this argument and it's absurd. No one is getting level 80 talent abilities right now. If it's available at level 70, it is by definition a level 70 talent. If it's a level 80 talent, you can't obtain it before level 80. Let me rephrase this in a way you'll understand then. People are running around with talent abilities that are designed for use at a game where the level cap is L80. Not L70. If these talents were designed around L70 play, they would have been here at the start of BC. What we're seeing in game right now is EXACTLY what we saw in the content patch right before BC came out in regards to PvP. |

If these talents were designed around L70 play, they would have been here at the start of BC. What we're seeing in game right now is EXACTLY what we saw in the content patch right before BC came out in regards to PvP. In other words, they were implemented for levels 70-80, but available at 70. Thus not "level 80 talents". Every indication from beta players has been that rets were imbalanced at level 80 as well.
Yes, we did see much of the same before BC came out- and what gross imbalances resulted were corrected by Blizzard, as they are doing with Rets when WoTLK comes out. I wouldn't be surprised if we saw nerfs to mages and rogue dismantle as well.
Blizzard has acknowledged that rets were too heavy on burst, and the nerfs are a result of that- with a goal of keeping overall DPS about the same but burst toned down a bit.
The nerfs aren't simply a result of complaints from (all) other classes- Blizzard doesn't respond anywhere near that fast to player complaints. If they did, the recent nerfs to hemo, CoS, ShS, deadly throw, etc would've happened many months ago. |

| What a steaming pile of BS.
Your partner in 2v2 had to be better than decent at least to get above 1650 as a druid. Sure, HoTs are king, but when you can't kill anyone, who cares.
Also, disc priests are (were?) hella tough to beat down. -- Come play Mafia! | WA State Politics |

Only got to 63ish on mine on beta before I quit messing with it.
I was referring to them being really powerful in pvE which I was assuming with resilience gear would translate into t hem being beasts in pvp.
I might be wrong. you'll have to tell me when it comes if Im still watching these boards as I wont be leveling one. |

Full T6 = Bad Actually, you'd be surprized at the amount of T6/PvE loots in PvP just prior to 3.0.2. If he was a fully-specced rogue of that calibur, especially blowing cooldowns w/ the jump...well, something should be dead, lol.
(edit) Hell, even burst DPS 2v2 PvE rogue/rogue teams were quite the thing. With 2 full T6/sunwell rogues on one target (assuming the other is sapped/blinded/whatever for the few seconds), that subject is mulched quickly unless they have an invulnerability button. |

And his original complaint wasn't more so the damage output of the paladin, but the combo stuns. I haven't played my pally in a long time, but I can't even begin to guess what the 2nd activated stun was. I know hammer...and...er...that. |
