Wonder if we'll hit that. Only 61 here now. But you're down south right?

Was still pretty nice for a while. Got a good bit done then the clouds rolled in around noon and I gave up.

It was nice, but dreary. Wonder what is preferable, sunny and cooler or warmer and very cloudy.

Sunny and cooler for me. Dreary makes me dreary.

Sunny and cooler... a change of pace is nice. Its been just dreary for far too long.

Where did that come from?

I heard it last night as well. Sitting in my office then rain started pouring on the siding as if some one was using a garden hose.

If everything seems to be going well, you've obviously overlooked something.

Looks like most of the really heavy stuff will stay south of us though. At least I hope so.

They are calling for 2-3 inches down here in Central Illinois on already soaked fields. Was flying today before the rain started and many fields look like small lakes. Its going to be a long while before the farmers can get into their fields and harvest their crops.

2-3 inches... this is approaching snow fall measurements.

Edit: Godly luck Jon. Sucks the sumppump isn't working. I know you have a small moat when it IS working.

Well we made it through the night with no flooding. Gonna go get a new pump at lunch. Just need it to hold on for a few more hours. Looks like we might get a break in the rain for a few hours around 9. that will help. What pisses me off is that I just bought this pump last spring. I'll have to see if I can find teh paperwork. It's a RIDGID and they supposedly have a lifetime warranty against material defects. I can only assume it's a switch problem but I need to get it out and look at it first.

God I'm tired of friggin rain. I haven't been able to get out and mow the leaves. Now they're a few inches deep.

I only burnt for "recreational purposes" in a pit smaller than 3 feet...so the answer is yes. To be honest I didn't burn that much only enough so I could mulch the rest without leaving behind mud pits.

Intellicast says it will be sunny Sat & Sun. So hopefully we'll get a chance to mow the leaves.
Also gonna fire up the snow blower this weekend just to make sure it will start. Don't want to find out it won't when there's 8 inches of snow on the ground.

Ah, I know you're not supposed to burn leave in Dupage. Not I haven't done what you did but I'm not sure if it's actually "allowed". Most of my neighbors burn stuff though, branches and various tree crap, b/c everyone has so many trees. So at least I know I wouldn't need to worry about anyone complaining.

Yeah good point on the snow blower. Put up the mower for the season as well.
