Yeah it was one of the first things I checked..and nothing was muted. I thought for awhile it might be the firewire, but this is a brand new one and the old one also doesn't work.

zepolant This Is Near....This Is Far Away Premium join:2002-12-05 Turlock, CA clubs:	reply to zepolant An update of sorts..I've tried and I've tried and I simply do not get any sound when importing the video to my computer..This really saddens me because I'm trying to get the video of our kids on the computer then burn them to DVD...If anyone has any kind of other suggestions please let me know...If I could afford a new camera I would just buy one at this point.
