2 edits | Turn off firewall...
How do I turn off the firewall on my Gateway 2Wire 2701HG-B? Currently I run a tower of the Ethernet cable, and two laptops on the wifi of the gateway.
I don't need to bridge. (Unless this is easier)
Each individual system has unique needs that would be served better with the router(2 wire gateway) firewall off, and the firewalls on each system working instead. Please advise. |

I think you would be better off by opening ports that each sever needs
Do you have more than one static public ip address or do you have one dynamic public ip address |

I am not sure how to have these applications communicate with the 2wire device. I run a esoteric network. |

What type of setup did you have before the change to what you have now? |

| I could manually open the ports (alot of ports) After searching the database at 2wire, and seeing your answer, I think this may be the only solution. The setup before this one only needed a firewall at the gateway. The new setup preferred local firewalls. Nonetheless, manually opening them seems to be an ok solution.
As an aside, I wish to tell ATT now that all I want it a link with nothing added. |
