What I have a hard time doing, is re-reviewing a scheduled task
Not sure how to re-tweak it?
Find it in the Active Tasks list and double-click it.
I always forget that.

Choose Properties to do more than view it.

I had been trying to set the trigger to start the task once a day. Repeating every hour.

If I trigger on "Begin Task at Startup" ... how do I get it going without re-booting?

[EDIT] Nevermind. Figured out the run cmd.

I don't know about adding back the "F" but I will check that. Of course I prefer always being first.
Sorry about that, Froggy. I didn't realize that the requirement had been changed. And that you were the only one doing it correctly.

Gargels is now compliant as well. As is the script that I have yet to post.

Just puts things a bit out of order here »foldy.nozero.org/FAHlog.php

I'm always the last to get the memo... OK, can someone clarify that I need to drop the leading "F" on the FAHlog filename for Foldy Monitor? Or am I being dense and not interpreting the emoticons?

I was just kidding...

IIRC, the format for files used to be F*-**-*.*. I think that it was set that way for Fishy's Foldy Monitor. I could be totally wrong though, and just assumed that it was a requirement. TF used to have it that way, and things were aligned nicely on the FAHlog tracker page.

Makes no difference really. I am not even all that certain, that it is a requirement for the FAHlog.txt file to be uploaded. Foldy 5 never did upload one. Nor did the earlier Foldys.

I think that the logs were added for help debugging stuck clients.

I think that FAH-Tool does try and get some info from it, if available. But I don't think that it requires it being available. EDIT: But if it does look for the file, I would assume that it needs be in a certain named format. Jim would have to confirm that though.

I will add a few comment to the script and upload it. Most likely tomorrow sometime.
This thread tracks rather funny, unless you read all 7 pages (so far).

Should I start a new thread, and post the script as well as the unxutils again? With a pointer to this thread? Or just re-post both files in this thread as a new post, as latest versions?

If you post all this stuff in a new thread. How about I create a Foldinator Project FAQ as well?

We could add in the task scheduler part since some of us had a little trouble there too.

Re: Testing, testing ... 1, 2, 3 ... testing

The "F" for FAHlog.txt was basically not required, but won,t hurt. It looks cleaner without. On foldy.nozero.org (from memory) I believe it wild cards *-*-FAHlog.txt, where it used to be hard coded HTML. With the wildcard, its more forgiving, and will show files in a list as they show up.

Yes that is better. But unless someone comes up with a standard naming convention for the files, they will not be in the correct order.

IE... It follows Numeric/Alpha order. Meaning that anything with a numeric char. at the beginning will be before anything with an alpha char. Thus why 4-** shows before F1- 01.

Yes.

That is because that is what it listed under the unit name in the unitinfo.txt file. IE... Someone at Stanford messed up.

Jim, can explain the details better. I don't have the time right now.

I used to handle those with a script here, that uploaded a corrected file to Jim. But we stopped doing that some time ago.

We talked with Fishy about getting it corrected, but I think RL got the better of his time.

Edit: I think that some of the Ops correct that issue on their side as well. Or you would see more of those issues.

Not much time here either. We used to continually hand tweak the CSV file to equate "System" to a WU (But the error could be against more than one WU.) Hand tweaking was a bit of work.

Steve used to tweak them for me and I gave him space on my site to upload. I would have a script to get it to foldy.nozero.org

Over time I worked out a better system, but it would be a major rewrite for foldy.nozero.org, the CSV is updated now and then, but fah-tool.org needs no hands-on effort.

Both are useful because they back each other up, and are on different Hosted Services. (Foldy is on PowWeb and fah-tool is on HostGator.)

As already stated this is due to FoldyMonitor server side processing. I've taken care of this in my script, here is the relevant section:

That portion of the script will transform this:
