FiOS has an agreement for CBS CS HD. No one has that yet. If they don't add it soon (while basketball is still relevant), it'll be useless until CFB starts up again.
No one carried CBS CS HD? Dish does. I'm sure there are others. I think he meant that Vz has the agreement but the channel hasn't been deployed to any Vz customers yet... |

I believe DirecTV also carries CBS CS in HD. However, they made it very clear in the PR that the HD version on FIOS would be coming at a later date.

VHO8 is S. Jersey, Philly burbs, and N. Delaware - NNJ is not out of VHO8. We get all the channels with the Extreme package.

Rumor has it NHL Network will carry some WJHC games over the holidays. Should be great to see some future prospects and it's in Canada this year so we might see it in HD!
From the NY Times Dec 6, 2008: "Two underexposed United States national teams, the men’s national junior squad and the women’s national side, will be the beneficiaries of a deal announced last week between USA Hockey and the NHL Network.
For the next three seasons, the NHL Network will provide live high-definition TV coverage of all the United States junior team’s games, as well as all medal-round games at the under-20 world junior championship, the best hockey tournament no one in the United States watches.
The NHL Network will also televise four live games of the touring United States women’s team in 2009 and early 2010 as it prepares for the 2010 Winter Olympic Games in Vancouver."The US teams four scheduled games are: Fri, Dec 26 - 3:30 pm vs. Germany Sun, Dec 28 - 7:30 pm vs. Czech Republic Tue, Dec 30 - 7:30 pm vs. Kazakhstan Wed, Dec 31 - 7:30 pm vs. Canada Medal round: Quarterfinals: Fri, Jan 2 - 3:30 pm and 7:30 pm. Semifinals: Sat, Jan 3 - 3:30 and 7:30 pm. Bronze Medal game: Mon, Jan 5 - 3:30 pm. Gold Medal game: Mon, Jan 5 - 7:30 pm. My only disappointment is that I would have liked to see some of the non-USA matches in group play. The NHL Network is great and I feel a must have for any hockey fan. |

Any of the games that I saw this past weekend were in HD. I did see some motion artifacts but that may have been coming from the Canadian broadcast that was simulcast on NHL, I don't remember if it was the US game. They both had different headers/score bars. |

Same here. All the games so far have been in pretty damn good HD quality. Was cool watching the USA/Czech game last night - especially the Flyers #1 draft pick.

| JVR is a big kid. Born in Jersey and grew up a Ranger fan, played some hockey in Brick, then went out to Michigan. My business partner's daughter goes to UNH with him.
It will be interesting to see where the US measures up against Canada, they laid a beating on Kahzakstan (sp) 15-0. I think the US plays them (KAZ)on Tuesday. |

Just wanted to note,
I was at house with Cablevision and the already have channel space for MLB Network HD.
I don't know if the channel is active or just a place holder since the box was SD.
I since the channel goes live at 6pm on January 1st I'm wondering if or when FiOS will add it? |

Lakewood, CA | In southern California we are seeing 86 and that it launches later today- on 586 though is nothing. I wonder when the HD part will launch or move across Fios? Any ideas? |
