I have been with Acanac for over a year now.
I have DSL,Dry Loop and Voip with them.
I have been totally satisfied with Acanac's services and hope you have a good time here.
I don't frequent this site much as I'm a Mod. at the other Acanac Community Forum.

Acanac Sucks!!!

I have signed up for ACANAC on Sep.5 and still not been hooked up. I call the tech support everyday and end up having to wait on hold for 20 to 30 mins. Then they ususually give me very different story and promiss to be connected tomorrow.

Looks like the tech people have no idea about DSL or telephone comunications. They hand up on me twice.

This service is terrible. They are a brutal organisation. They do not care if you stay or go.

STRONGLY NOT RECOMMENDED!!!

Well Taraban I see you're over here now complaining.
The problem seems to be a Bell issue and not on Acanac's end.
Why don't you start a thread and explain who's really to blame.

I asked how to get the own Forum here on DSLR.
On Canadian Section.
No answer from DSLR people.

Other people from Canadian Broadband Forum said that
we need a high trafic (popularity) on A-Z index.
That seem to be the critreria.

The only problem is that, now, almost everyone knows about the community forum so they don't come here anymore.

On October 28th I submitted an on-line request to get Acanac DSL for my home in Kanata Ontario. Gave credit card info and everything, got message saying request was received etc. We are now November 11th, which unless my math is bad, that's 11 business days. I have called periodically over that time period to see where my order was and how long should I still expect to wait to receive the modem. (I requested Naked DSL for those wondering exactly which service this is for). Each time I got the same response, "it is still in the ordering phase but should all be sorted and up and running within 6 to 9 business days from the order date". Imagine my disappointment now 11 business days later that I got the same story, "It appears that it is still in the ordering phase sir"
With that I decided to cancel my order, I guess I am now stuck with either Bell or Rogers, ick.
Thanks for nothing Acanac, I was really hoping to post good news about a good service by this point, I guess it was not meant to be.
