When i called, I told them that Comcast can offer exactly what I had including phone for $160. Which would be $40 less than what WOW and AT&T combined were. They asked what would it take to keep me as a customer, mind you I've been with them for 7 years now. I told them match the price and swap out a pair if digital boxes for DVRs and they did. |

As much as I enjoy a good petition (sometimes they work) I think that one at WOW would be a waste. By the time all the signatures are gathered, and the red tape is cut, and all the other assorted b/s is completed, a good portion of the seasons that you / whoever are protesting that you can't watch will be over, and then you will have paid for months of service that you are / were dissatisfied over, and still won't have the games you want to watch... Or (and this is in no way me pushing you away) you could switch services, and watch the sports games you want. Granted there is the headache of getting a new service, but it is far less than the headache you would get from attempting to be refunded for the time wasted attempting to force WOW into showing some games.

To others on this thread - I just got word from a neighbor that there is a petition, with a boycott involved in the NW burbs of IL. He is getting me info which I will post for those that are upset over WOW's lack of sporting games shown. And that will do absolutely nothing, just like all other petitions out there for various other frivolous crap. |

Comcast actually has a very good on demand selection. I've seen it plenty. I'm not impressed with it. It's old crap. I've seen the majority of it already and the rest I don't want to see. Go for it, head over to Comcast for their awesome lineup and pay more. I don't care.
I could also care less about NFL Network, and I'm glad WOW isn't caving into their blackmail. Yea we know, your still holding out for WOW to pickup the Knitting channel. Again, if you don't care, don't respond. |

Both companies triple play pkgs are the same @ $99. However, WOW only offers 8MB/1MB internet in their pkg. Comcast offer 12MB/2MB in their base. Myself and a couple neighbors tried to price match with WOW to get their higher tiered internet but they wouldn't budge. First, you can upgrade to any faster tier of service you want. You aren't forced to stay at the 8/1. And the rest is how you talk to them. If you talk to them like you do here, I don't blame WOW for not budging.

2nd phone line with Comcast is $10/mo, WOW is $18/mo - though I got them to come down $5.

WOW is just as much the greedy pig as the sports channels. Like they can't cut into their profit margins to pay the fees and offer their customers what they pay for & expect. I switched to WOW from Comast for some line issues I was having. I found that cost wise I did not save anything moving to WOW. In fact I lost with WOW. On Demand is crap compared to Comcast. And with Comcast at least I could count on ALWAYS receiving the sports games I wanted to watch, never a blackout over a license fee argument. And I was paying same amount. I am considering going back to Comcast.
Cousin is with Time Warner & he gets NFL network & FSN games no problem. He's not paying any more monthly than I am with WOW.
So who's the greedy pig??!! I see it as WOW. |

according to a note I saw today, the FSN / WOW contract was knocked out and they will now show all the games.
However, it's too late for me. WOW pulled the same thing with the BTN, and they're still having the problem with the NFL network (three years now?). i'm tired of their excuses.
In my experience with WOW, they have never had as poor of customer service as I had on Wednesday. they did notify callers of the outage, but not before I navigated through the automated system at least 3 options deep (....at least). |

A FYI
The games on 11-1 and 11-3 are part of the package WOW is not paying for so we probably won't see them either. I talked to a couple of people at FSN this morning and they were very nice. |

Don't blame WOW, blame the provider... The NFL network did the same thing last year. There were a couple of games that were supposed to air over WOW when the contract was signed, but the NFL changed their mind and wanted more money for those certain games. WOW does not wish to be placed in a situation where they are forced to pass the additional charge to their subscribers, so they choose to negotiate a better price. It's the same reason Time Warner took so long to sign Big Ten Network. |
