Well.....When video is recorded in 12 bit it I have audio in AVI 1 or AVI 2. As well as in VLC...the part recorded in 16 bit audio and played back (Avi 1 and 2) will not play but as soon as the 12 bit audio kicks on there is sound. Which is good news...going forward now I will record in 12 bit...but how to get all the old video off that was recorded in 16 bit?
That was such a huge help though! |

| I'll have to do a little research. I think there's a way you can run it thru a conversion process or two and end up with audio you can hear, albeit somewhat degraded.
The easiest would be if you have a relative or friend with a miniDV camcorder of a different brand, newer model, that you could borrow to play the tape and capture from and see if it works. Some people have reported success with that. -- Windstream DSL 3.0Mb/384KB -ex DirecPC/Hughes DRS user. | reply to zepolant Perhaps you could try Dreamlinux? (Long story short, this allowed me to transfer video from a miniDV camera onto a networked folder a few weeks ago after I realized that WinDV app on the Windows box wouldn't control the camcorder.) »www.dreamlinux.com.br/ |
