When connected to the proxy, Does anyone know what the numbers counting down in (perenthesies) on the bottom right of the browser mean? Looks like a timer but not sure.

I don't know, but I couldn't tell what timed out and what was blocked with one exception -- the Israeli Knesset (www.knesset.gov.il) which gives you a China Mobile display. This struck me as odd, because I thought Israel and China got along. See, e.g.:
