has anyone ever used this AP or heard of it?
3G backup from ATT, TM, Sprint, and VZW with failover if you have a wired connection to it otherwise will run just off 3G without it.

| A little pricey
Remember you have to add your own 3G device and service contract. The ATT USB modem is $349.00 from the ATT stores. (I know, I bought one) Now your up to $529.00 and it's just an AP.
What cmaenginsb found in this thread has a built in 3G modem and is MIMO for a lot less.

| reply to hottboiinnc The limitation of the 3GN though is that it is only ATT and possibly T Mobile compatible, having a device that uses an external card allows you to change between both EVDO and GSM carriers.
I didn't know the ATT card was so expensive. Cards for Verizon/Sprint are generally $100.
Another company that build similar devices is Cradlepoint, we use them and find they work well. They aren't an outdoor solution and they do require an external 3G radio but they can support load balancing over multiple 3G connections.
The only advantage to the Sputnik unit is if you use Sputnik for yourself. -- CCNA, Comtrain Certified Tower Climber |
