| DSL upgrade time
I just ordered the upgrade from 3.0 to 6.0 for $39/mo here in Lubbock, TX. A month ago they said 6.0 wasn't available, but they installed a new U-verse cabinet 8 blocks from here and it seems to be now. Also, U verse is available everywhere north of me  but not here. How long does it take to change over? The lady gave me a time of 3-4 weeks? Here are my line stats if anyone can tell me how far I am from the RT ( I'm not on the central office)
Downstream Rate: 3008 kbps
Upstream Rate: 512 kbps
Channel: Fast
Current Noise Margin: 19.0 dB (Downstream), 21.0 dB (Upstream)
Current Attenuation: 25.8 dB (Downstream), 16.0 dB (Upstream)
Current Output Power: 2.3 dBm (Downstream), 6.4 dBm (Upstream) |

Wow you are lucky as hell.
What part of lubbock are you in? U-Verse is NOT available in my area, and I don't think it ever will be. I'm a bit north of 4th and University..
Anyway, you don't seem to far from an RT at all. 25 attenuation is pretty low. I think i'm hooked up to the CO downtown, and my attenuation is 57db on Elite. I can't even sync at the full 6016 kbps. :/
Yeah, you should sign up and post in ATT Direct, they helped me out with my DSL a bit.
Please get back to me on your location regarding U-Verse. I knew they were installing it though.. I see cabinets everywhere now. |

I'm at 45th in between flint and gary, near indiana and market street. There's a cabinet at 38th and elgin, and I believe U verse is available around there, and north up until 19th street. It is also available at the new complex being built next to raiders pass. So unless you are in a complex, it is very near you, also |

| I ordered the upgrade from 3.0 to 6.0 2 days ago for $35. I wonder why yours is more? I figure with the holiday I won't see any increase until the 30th.
I believe 3-4 weeks is incorrect, unless your in an area w/excessive orders,
I looked at UVERSE for the last 2 months. It doesn't make sense for me to drop DishNet thorugh ATT and pay about $25 more to be able to use a DVR. |
