Looks like 2009 will bring DOCSIS 3.0 to most markets.
Also all markets will get 20 new HD channels by end of 09. |

I don't have K* for tv as I have moved to Directv (only phone/net) and have far more HD than Comcast or K*. My one complaint with D* is they don't have Travel Channel in HD yet. I really want to see Bizarre Foods in HD to really see what that guy eats!!!

If I remember right they stated the upgrades would be done in markets where the competition (aka Comcast) has already upgraded. |

You think they'll send out a notice telling us it's time to make sure we have a modem that supports DOCSIS 3.0? Who am I kidding, the only notices they send out are billing increases... |

| How will we be notified as far as upgrading our modem? I'm looking forward to it, as Mediacom has been tops as far as speed for a while now.
I've stayed with Knology only because I moved two years ago to an area of Columbus not serviced by Mediacom, but recently moved to where Mediacom territory overlaps with Knology. Knology bundles phone/internet together, and Mediacom does not. If I didn't care about price, I would've gone back to Mediacom for the faster speeds. (I work for DirecTV, so I don't want/need CATV). |

Hub B was just fixed and swept for ingress. Hub A is being cleaned up, and hub was swept already. It shouldn't be too long, though. |

i had a tech come out last week about my problem, he said that by the end of year for (north east columbus should have docis 3.0)
yet, they can't even solve my problem yet on docis 1.0.

| funny thing is, me and my next door neighors are the only ones in the court that have knology. idk if they have problems but after a guy came out and looked at it at 9:15 pm est. it's being turned over to maintenance as my dl rate dropped by 4 mbps. from 6.5 to 2.5......... it only took 7 trips out to my house. |

| You had the on call tech come by then. It's really hard to troubleshoot something whenever it is working properly. All of the techs are scheduled either 8-5pm or 10-7pm except for the on call tech who works 'til 10pm. It's good to hear that the tech was able to catch it in the act. As for the rest of the node the speed issues have been resolved. It's only isolated cases occurring now. |

I am currently in the zip code 31904; if I am upgraded to DOCSIS 3.0 would I need to change my modem or not? I currently have a Linksys CM100 cable modem. Thanks!
