I thought about moving into a att area. But since the caps came about I will be staying here and deal with cox slowness and all. at least cox doesn't have those kind of caps.
So you know you are moving more than 150GB/month? Or are you just opposed to caps on principle?
i'm apposed to the principle of caps, but they are very high.
for example: if my cap is 250GB/month i'd have to average 8.33GB/day (or 14.7456 Megabytes per hour) assuming that its a 30 day month. i dont know about you but i dont even come close to 8GB a week i'm sure. without some kind of method to monitor or warn users about their amount of consumption i am against caps, but if they would send an email when a user has used a percentage of their cap then sure it would be manageable. if this even makes sense.
reply to jchambers28 Why don't you start new ISP business with no cap? Show us that you don't carry any kind of caps? When your ISP business is growing into more larger complex networks then you might want to have cap implement to keep your network hardware running smooth performance because of complex systems. -- 64K TCP WIN is officially dead for long high latency fat network connection across internet.
