A new version of the Rhapsody 4.0 client was released on November 4, version 4.0.4.533. It is available via the Check for Updates menu in Rhapsody, or from links on »www.rhapsody.com.
Release notes for 4.0.4.533:
If DRM servers cannot be reached at install time (such as due to no internet connection), install will proceed and allow use of Rhapsody for playback of tracks which do not require DRM
Improved methods for verifying and repairing DRM issues
Revised wording throughout product for scenarios when DRM has not been installed
Revised the "Confirm Your Purchase" page of the Purchase wizard to support "no DRM installed" situations
Tracks purchased "over the air" onto a device (such as the Haier Ibiza) may be backed up to the local computer by dragging them into My Library
Yahoo! Toolbar is offered during installation (only occurs in some cobrands), instead of the previous offer of Google Toolbar
Streamed video from the Rhapsody Music Guide now plays smoothly
Some Rhapsody-capable cell phones display by their popular name (such as LG Chocolate 2)
Improved support for LG cell phones
Renamed or moved purchased MP3s play correctly when reimported into Rhapsody
Fixed a crash with dragging album art from the Rhapsody Music Guide using Internet Explorer 8
Watched folders are off by default for music, photos, and videos for new installations (settings stay the same for upgrades)
Assorted changes to Rhapsody Help
Miscellaneous other minor issues
The following changes affect only users of the V CAST cobrand:
Cell phone numbers may be entered with formatting, such as (xxx) xxx-xxxx
Upgraded V CAST cobrand users are no longer asked to create a new account after upgrade |
