Certainly there can't be any clause in the contract about not jailbreaking a phone. And if I recall correctly, AT&T is advertising their $30/mo iPhone data plan as "unlimited". Just an idea, not as though I'd really consider trying it right now. That's the thing: you'd have to jailbreak your phone, which is something that most users (including myself) don't wish to do. On top of that, the current solution for tethering on a jailbroken iPhone is anything but elegant. It requires a ton of configuration, and only works for applications that support SOCKS proxies.

Hilliard, OH | no problem. my only complaint is you still have to manually set up and activate your ad-hoc wireless. I can't see why that's not built in, but its still pretty easy. |
