Buy your games and play. But do you need to play 24/7? If you do then you need to look at your life and not blame companies for your downfalls. If you don't like it then form your own company and we will quickly see you fail since you will be giving everything away. And making $0 profit. Let us not forget who we can thank. All the P2P users are to blame mostly for these caps. -- Two people shorten a road. |

 | reply to RRMAN I think you mistook the fact that internet is another "transmission" medium . TV/Sat rely on airwaves or can use data bits over optical wire. |

All the P2P users are to blame mostly for these caps. What about the people claiming to use their residential service for work related transfers - exceeding 300-400 per month? Either BS is getting slung or there is more infront of us than P2P.
P2P has been on a decline in recent months(years?) and taking up less and less overall traffic on the web. Yet, more and more ISPs are jumping on the Cap barge.
Something needs to be really looked at and not just scapegoated to P2P.
More and more people are getting internet capabilities piped into their HT/STBs/HTPCs and displaying it on their BIG-ASS HDTVs. YT/AppleTV/iTunes/Nutflix... all getting piped to the TV. Who was it, LG making players with Nutflix built-in?

Naw, none of these new things can be adding to the "Bandwidth Crunch" horsehit we keep hearing ISPs bitch about.
It's all teh P2Pers! Yeah, that'll work! -- Think outside the Fox... Opera |

All the P2P users are to blame mostly for these caps. Games have been played on the pc for a very long time. To say that HD content is only meant for the TV is like saying music is only meant for the radio, IPOD users are out of luck. To say that P2P users are the cause is false since the ISP's downgraded what they consider to be a heavy user. If the P2P users are the root cause, then root them out.
What does playing 24/7 have to do with anything? If the cable company don't want you to be on the internet 24/7, they want you to be in front of the TV 24/7. That's how they make there money besides you paying your bill every month.
Saying I am blaming the company for my downfalls is nonsense. The company can do what it wants but all it means is less revenue for them and higher bills for you. I could go back to the old fashion way of getting a newspaper everyday for 25 cents and sending a letter once a week. I could go back to playing board games. I can save big time money doing all that, I couldn't care less. |
