Re: Window frame - what type of glue should I use to repair? If that is a double pane window with any type of Low-E or argon type gas feature, you should consider replacing the pane. The integrity of that window's energy saving features is most likely compromised.
I had some old, Anderson double-paned window where the frame started separating from the window. I ended up using a large vice to squeeze it back together and used a 3" screw to seal it back together. It worked well. This year, I had all the windows in my home replaced and the screw was still hanging tough. Not sure if that's an option in your case. |
