| reply to jlivingood Any news on this meter? My main problem is my main computer is my laptop, which I take to work, so short of starting the meter when I get home, stopping when I'm at work, etc isn't really too reliable. |

I also have a WRT54G V5, and Tomato guys state "This will not work on Linksys WRT54G/GS v5 or newer WRT54G/GS routers." So one router is too old, the other too new. With both working just fine, I'm hard pressed to spend another $40 or so to get another one just to run Tomato. I doubt I'm anywhere near the 250GB cap, and am not bitching about the cap per se, just repeating that Comcast has an obligation to deliver on its meter promise. $40 I believe would be worthwhile for peace of mind. In my case, my router worked with Tomato and definitely is better to have a good counter than the scientific method I had before. -- Obama '08. 1 edit | reply to Chris 313 I have Tomato, too. Works great to keep the usage within the acceptable level, now that we have a clear number to compare to. Highly recommended. Much better than the CC provided counter. -- Obama '08. Will help resolve the terrible broadband issues we have that put us so far behind other countries. |

Me, I have a Linksys BEFSR41 which I believe cannot load Tomato. Yep, I'd say he does too! I have a 54GL v1.1 and Tomato works pretty good with it. I'd advice you checking into one of the ones listed. |

THAT post is when I had a D-Link and DD-WRT does not work on a DI624 REV C router.
Since then, a *GOOD* friend bought me a WRT54G, flashed DD-WRT on it, and sent it to me. No worries. -- Think outside the Fox... Opera |
