Actually HiVolt, I just vented on a board once, but you're going after every person who has a complaint about the unfortunate timing of this maintenance.
The only person who is raising your blood pressure is you. Stick to another thread with less whining (including mine) and you will feel better.
Of course the only reason I'm typing this is because Blizzard's login servers are down which is keeping me from playing WoW right now...

I've already made my plan, I'm going to bridge my network from my laptop's wireless and tap into the unprotected network somewhere in my building.

The closest Wireless network to me is about 6 blocks from me and I'd have to purchase a wireless card  I'm hoping to jack into my neighbors Cable Inet connection below me.. even if I have to d/c my dsl modem/router combo and take it down there myself lol
And sorry my post got off topic, but my original point I was trying to make was.. Someone along the line somewhere at Teksavvy had to have realized WotLK launch was the exact same time they were planning on taking down their service, and yet they still thought nothing of it seeing as how big the event is. Seriously, how hard would it have been to have bumped the schedule up a day when someone said something and had it tonight? Not very hard, I'd imagine the stuff for the work is probably sitting in a corner waiting for tomorrow night anyways. |

Well I am going to be playing come midnight, but its because I pay to have redundancy. I could have free internet, but instead I choose to pay a little more so that if one network is undergoing maintenance or having trouble I can switch to another. While internet is not an 'essential' service, it is quickly becoming just that no matter what the rules outline, and in this case if this is a situation that can happen you may want to consider a back-up like I have! 
I can't tell you how many times its releived aggrevation for me!
FYI: I'm pretty much addicted to WoW, like Loki I have cleared all content and have been in some of the best guilds in the game, so I know where people are coming from in some respects as new content has not come out in a while.

No, seriously. This is what I call good customer service.
I appreciate knowing to expect inconsistent service than to go mad at 1:15am because the magic lights on my modem are suddenly angry over being worked so hard, so late.
I'll just pick up the game Thrusday at lunch and avoid some of the new release stress while I look forward to the next patch's Enhancement Shaman super-buff. We'll be the only class with a special 3D ANIMATED (Storm-Strike) Icon! (Hey, the icon as a buff trick worked on enh shammies last time, right?)
