 Centurytel Group Line Monitor

With an increase in forum traffic, and speed/latency issues can we request a Centurytel group monitor be setup?

The following link is for Charter's:

»Charter HSI Line Monitoring - It's free

Maybe we can help get these issues resolved?

Look up there under "Links".

Those who want their connection monitored as part of this group will need to PM me for an invitation. The "group" monitoring is free.

You can also individually monitor your connection. You'll find that option under the Tools section. Look for the 24-7 line monitoring. The first week of that is free - after that it costs tool points.

General Information about line monitoring

OK - the group monitor is linked in the forum sidebar.

To find out more about line monitoring go here: »/schedule and set up your monitor. It cost's you nothing to be monitored as part of a group.

You need to be pingable

You would want to set your monitor up as basic monitoring and set up your IP address. There are applications that can be used for those without static IP addresses like most of us here. See the following for more information: »Line Monitoring FAQ

If there are any questions ask in this thread and I will do my best to answer them. Or, check out the Line Monitoring FAQ: »Line Monitoring FAQ

Thanks for getting this setup for us. I'm experiencing some strangeness with it, using dns-o-matic to forward my IP. I use it with opendns.com just fine, but for some reason the line test is showing the wrong IP for me. I posted here: »Group Line Monitoring: wrong IP address displayed about it, but so far no responses in that forum.

Any suggestions?

thanks to tstolze, I've created a dyndns.com free account and am using their client to forward my IP to BBR. It works!
