Besides the CPU usage is only hovering around 13%. Perhaps the sound card has a problem. I'll bet I have another one around here somewhere.

Rexter : After further experimenting, I found that the issue is the sound. Over the course of an hour or so, the sound gets further, and further behind the video. When you change the channel on the VCR, the picture changes, but the sound is still playing from the last channel.

I'm really confused now, because I thought I was strictly dealing with analog. On the sound card, when audio is sent to the audio in, and routed to the speakers out, is there a digital conversion process going on?

--
With every new wave of optimism, or pessimism, we are ready to abandon history, and time tested principles, but we cling tenaciously and unquestioningly to our prejudices.
Rexter : I have an XP MCE PC with a Studio Movieboard.

I have a VCR that is acting as a TV tuner connected to the video input. The audio is fed through the line in on a c-media 5.1 sound card. I'm using Media Player classic to feed the signal through to watch TV on the PC. Media Player Classic is the only media player that I found that did this easily, but I'm not hooked on it. So if you know of a better way to do this, I'm all ears.

The problem I'm having is that the video is just slightly ahead of the sound. It's just enough to be annoying. How can I set the video back about 1/2 second to sync with the sound?
--
With every new wave of optimism, or pessimism, we are ready to abandon history, and time tested principles, but we cling tenaciously and unquestioningly to our prejudices.
