Re: All Valve Games (including Left 4 Dead) - $100!

You should get Orangebox and L4D if you don't have any Valve games. That's for sure.

Thanks Somnambul33t! I didn't even think about that. I don't have any Valve games and was getting ready to pull the trigger on this. But after reading your post I started thinking about it and I'm not really interested in the older games - just the newer titles. So, what you say makes sense and will save me $25! Thanks again for pointing that out!

Orange Box is $30 and comes with HL2, ep1, ep2, TF2, and Portal. L4D is $50, $45 if you preorder. that's $75. if you really want CS:S, DOD:S, and the original HL1 engine games then this full pack is well worth it.

however if you only want the modern games and dont care about CS:S/DoD:S then it's $25 cheaper to buy OB and L4D separately and skip the $100 valve pack.

If you don't have OJ Box or L4D, this is an awesome deal, those alone add up to 90 bucks.

You don't have to download all the games at once. Once the games are purchased you will have them in your game broswer and they can be installed at a later time.

I wonder how many gigs that would take up :P
Maybe this would effect some with bandwidth caps.

If Orange Box and L4D came out at the same time, AND this deal were offered, it'd be a no-brainer...

But as Stewy said, who doesn't have most of these games already?

Awesome, AWESOME deal to get someone who is new to gaming, though.

well if your a gamer and don't have some of these games already there's something wrong

But I've also noticed that others have done this on Steam doing the same thing, or selling in packs.

»[HOT Deal] Valve Complete Game Pak $100! Incl. Left 4 Dead!

I posted this in the Hot Deals forum, but thought I would place a post here in case you guys don't check over there. Anyway, Valve's selling pretty much every game they have for 100 in a combo pack.

Hellacious deal if you haven't gotten these titles already.

Mods, if this breaks rules, pls feel free to delete.

Thanks.
