WiMax and LTE will adequately fill that void as they are rolled out. That cities are realizing this is all to the good because the money they would waste on Muni WiFi can be better spent elsewhere. -- My BLOG .. .. Internet News .. .. My experience would beg to differ as that's exactly what my company does and it's been working just fine for quite a while now. It's not the technology that is the problem, it's how it's planned and implemented that makes the difference. Throwing a bunch of wi-fi routers up on poles in repeater mode is what nearly everyone does and that's the problem.
