My text messages ALWAYS recieve/send late

What could be the problem? This varies from 10 minutes to 5 hours late. I have a razor.. but it did this with my previous phones too.

Im getting very frustrated.
I took out the battery for 10 minutes.
I made a call to update with the singal towers.

Nothing is working so far. Help =[
