anon : this is going back a little while, but about 9-months ago, maybe more, there was a problem with a certain Intel PRO driver.

Make sure you get and install the very latest driver for this thing.

As for the Radialpoint thing. This is my best guess:

Sounds like a security manager problem. You have this installed?

I say this because security manager is distributed by "Radial Point" to Bell.

So when I see the errors about "Radialpoint", this is the first thing I thought of.

So if you have this bug, check sympatico's site for uninstalling it, running the uninstall clean-up software to remove reminants from uninstalling, and try re-installing.

[Internet] Network Connection Problem - Radialpoint miniport (x8

anon : I moved to Bell Internet recently. I lived in Toronto. A few days ago, my internet connection was totally down for an extended period. I was told it was a server problem. After more than 24 hours and much frustration, I gave the Bell Internet Support another call. I was told to do the usual stuff: power off and on the modem, and, while my internet was still down, I was told to uninstall the driver for my 'Intel PRO/100 VE'. Then, miraculously, I have my internet back.
When I tried to hibernate my computer a few days later, I've got an error message: "The device driver for the 'Intel PRO/100 VE Network Connection - Radialpoint Miniport (x86)' device is preventing the machine from entering hibernation."
My question: 1) what should I do now?
2) What is Radialpoint miniport (x86)?
