Win2K Pro will run on about 64 MB memory after all updates before adding resident software, and it still has 2 years of security support. It would make much better sense to put 98 or 2K on it. The Cyrix processor sucks something fierce on a lot of applications. I've always been an advocate of Cyrix Instead, but it's been a long time since that's been relevant. | |

| Yeah, done that (just for the amusement value), though it was a 266MHz Pentium II. Apart from that, the specs were pretty much the same as yours. Once it had booted, it was surprisingly usable, at least for basic web browsing. Not fast by any standards, but it didn't suck as much as I expected, even with no 'tuning'. | |
