said by OSUGoose :Did they realy just use that as an excuse? Wow AT&T ya ever think the people your paying might want/have a life outside of work? Might want to be able to enjoy that paycheck? There is nothing to say that you can not have a Tuesday to Saturday and/or Sunday to Thursday work week. That way the worker gets some weekdays off and the company gets weekend coverage. I am sure that some workers would be willing to trade weekend work for free weekday time. When I worked in a 24/7 Computer Center that was the way we were scheduled. |

So I don't think the union weekend thing holds water. Some of us don't mind working weekends to get days off in the week.

IOW: If my NORMAL Shift (work week) is Sunday to Thursday, I do not get extra for the Sunday but would if I had to work a Friday after working the prior Sunday to Thursday. Weekend time is OVERTIME although there can be provisions for "Time Off in Exchange". The basic idea is that if I have a 35 hour week then working more than 35 Hours in a week is overtime and thus gets a bonus pay rate. |

We are not a 24 hour center, but we are a 7 day a week center. I think latest on sunday is 8 P.M. central time for phone calls I think. After that I keep thinking the CA center gets them till 10p pacific time.
It's something crazy like that. -- If you have a topic in the direct forum please reply to it or a post of mine, I get a notification when you do this. Koetting Ford, Granite City, illinois... YOU'RE FIRED!!
