| CRTC keeps CAIP in the dark
CAIP appears to be on the official CRTC 'ignore' list.
Once again, although the media knew about the release of tomorrow's CRTC decision, CAIP didn't.

===================== "We got in touch with Copeland again today on the same mission. And guess what?
Thats right. Once again, the media knew but Copeland hadnt been informed. =====================
and
===================== In fact, The commission has yet to tell us that the decision wouldnt be delivered in October, he said. Requests to Commission staff ten days ago asking for clarification have gone unanswered.
However, CAIP was in the loop this time having been told of the November 20 delivery date by other channels.
=====================
Summary: The CRTC never told CAIP about the delay on october, and all of caip's inquiries to the CRCTS have all gone unanswered.
In addition, the CRTC deemed it fitting to announce to the CBC that the answer will come on the 20th, and again didn't inform CAIP at all about anything at all.
CAIP then says: "What we do know is that a couple weeks ago the CRTC chair stated at a public function that the decision had been written."
So a decesion has been makes weeks ago, they delay the decsion and don't inform CAIP and again don't inform them the answer is coming tomorrow.
In other words, the CRTC has ignored CAIP 100% and 100% ignored the thousands of people following this.
How does that sit with you? |

Jon, maybe you want to make people aware that Bell is supposed to file with the CRTC to force all Bell wholesalers to offer 60-gigs of max bandwidth for new customers this coming January. |

Jon, maybe you want to make people aware that Bell is supposed to file with the CRTC to force all Bell wholesalers to offer 60-gigs of max bandwidth for new customers this coming January. This particular idea has been put on hold at the minute. They had planned on doing the request back late this past summer, but either through some public backlash or bad timing they postponed the idea (they were also slated to request the speed increase/ADSL2+ at the same time).... Nothing has gone beyond that point as of right now. Now, if I were a betting man, I would guess this topic is far from over....... -- TSI Rocky - TekSavvy Solutions Inc.

This is what Bell said they would do.
Bell both throttles and caps their users.
Rocky, do you think Bell likes that you don't both throttle AND cap your users?
Yes, I am a betting person... as are you.
Rocky, is there a specific area on the CRTC web site that the normal user can monitor and look out for such a filing from Bell?
Videotron made such a filing and NO ONE even knew and noticed till it was too late.
I don't want to see this type of thing go down again. Know what I mean/see? |
