I think I know what the OP means. I have two Gigabyte Intel P4x motherboards (P43 & P45) and when I run either flavor of Vista or XP (32 or 64 bit) with 4 GB of RAM, the "sleep" function gives me blue screens of death upon restore or soon thereafter. 2 GB of RAM never gives me a problem. I am currently running 4 GB of RAM with Vista 32 and have not seen a BSOD as I use hibernate instead of sleep.
