1 edit | Grub Question.
I posted at fedora Forums and have had no luck.
My machine has 4 hd. 2 hd are raid 0 (Win XP installed here). I want to install Fedora on one of the other drives. Will Grub recognize the Windows install?
I found an old post on Fedora Forum that says to install grub on the raid array. Is this still applicable today?
My motherboard is Gigabyte P35-DS3R. It has Intel and Gigabyte raid. I never could get the Intel raid to work, so I am using Gig.
If Grub will not recognize, should I just use the bios to choose what disk(s)to boot?
I use a vm right now, but prefer a dual boot set up.
edit:I think I found my answer. The Gigabyte RAID is using JMicron JMB36X. This is linux compatable. I will use a Live CD to see if the WinXP install is visible. |
